1880 Australian Shearing Patent #2877 "Improvements for "Clipping Horses, Sheep"
On offer is a rare patent, No. 2877 lodged in Victoria, Australia on the 09/09/1880 by Paul Ferdinand Mantelet, Paris for "Improvements in Apparatus for clipping or shearing horses, sheep & other animals." The lot includes a large Photo lithograph of original drawings and a complete page wording details for the patent. It is understood that these patents were issued as loose sheets as periodicals by the Victorian Government to Lawyers and Institutions with an end result of compiling patents for the calendar year. Also on the page are 4 other unrelated patents. The drawing sheet is 43cms x 27cms when unfolded & the page 27cms x 20cms. Note the 2 tears.
