Antique 9ct Rose Gold 925 Ball Accents & Carved Agate Cameo Pendant/Brooch 17.9g

This beautiful early 1900's Antique agate cameo is set in 9 carat yellow gold with sterling silver accent balls all around the setting. This cameo is visually stunning and is an exceptional jewellery piece. The cameo itself is so intricately carved, making full use of the natural layers within the agate. The carver is highly skilful and has created a spectacularly well carved portrait in a figurative style. The beautiful lady is a delicate soft cream colour against the deep cognac tones of the background. She has flowing hair tied up and is wearing a shawl style dress with beads and dainty earrings. Around the carving is pretty repeating bead design within a solid frame.

Despite its age this stunning piece is in fantastic condition with an aged patina to the gold. The cameo brooch is not hallmarked but laser tested as 9 carat gold with sterling silver balls. This very impressive cameo would be a fabulous addition to any collection.
