Beautiful 10ct Yellow Gold & Decoratively Carved Agate Cameo Pendant Brooch 5.2g

This beautiful early 1900's Antique agate cameo is set in 10 carat yellow gold and is an exceptional jewellery piece. The cameo itself is so intricately carved, making full use of the natural layers within the agate. The carver is highly skilful and has created a spectacularly well carved portrait in a figurative style. The beautiful lady is a warm light peach colour against the carnelian tones of the background. She has flowing hair and is wearing a shift style dress. The setting has a repeating engraved pattern all around the cameo, which frames the portrait perfectly.

Despite its vintage this stunning piece is in fantastic condition with a very highly polished surface to the silver. The cameo brooch is hallmarked with 10k to the rear of the clasp. This very impressive cameo would be a fabulous addition to any collection.
