This beautiful early 1900's antique onyx cameo is set in 14 carat yellow gold with pretty freshwater pearls all around the setting. This cameo is visually stunning and is an exceptional jewellery piece. The cameo itself is so intricately carved, making full use of the natural layers within the onyx. The carver is highly skilful and has created a spectacularly well carved portrait in a figurative style. The carved lady, unusually facing to the left, is picked out in a delicate white colour against the glossy black tones. She has flowing hair tied up and is wearing a shawl style dress with a feather headdress. This combination brooch and pendant piece will be a perfect addition to any cameo collection
