Firstly, the Pen & Ink Wash looks older than the handwritten date of 1879, (Personal opinion only) possibly early 1800s. The written annotation reads. Xmas 1879 To Mary from Her Father. Ex estate, so we have no way of confirming the exact age, country of origin or artist. It measures 11cms x 10cms, the overall framed size is 44cms x 37cms.
