c1890 Antique Victorian silver scent bottle, Sampson & Mordan, Birds and Flowers
Circa 1890 antique english sterling silver scent bottle by Sampson and Mordan. This is a cylindrical scent bottle made from sterling silver with a glass liner and stopper. It has the prettiest engraving of birds and flowers. The scent bottle is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, London assay office, 1890, made by the renowned silversmith Sampson and Mordan. These decorative scent bottles are becoming increasingly scarce to find and are highly sought after amongst collectors. Condition: Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, glass is chipped at the bottom of the stopper inside, original glass stopper. Approx measurements: Height 51.3mm x 18.3mm wide, weight: 35.3g.
