Delightful Antique 14ct Yellow Gold & Pink High Relief Carved Coral Cameo Brooch

Beautifully carved salmon pink high relief coral cameo in a delicate filigree style setting made in 14 carat yellow gold. The carving style is naturalistic and very well executed, the details are fine and the finish is excellent. The pretty flowers and roses in the ladies hair are adorable. The coral cameo is secured with a bezel setting and further decorated with a fine beaded wire around the bezel. The open filigree decoration is interlaced with shell accents and fine gold balls. Although not stamped this stunning piece laser tested as 14 carat gold.

This style of cameo with the C clasp closure dates the piece to around the early 1900's. The rear of the cameo has an open loop that could accomodate a chain so it could be carefully worn as a pendant. The loop is not fixed at the bottom section. This delightful cameo brooch in original condition will be a lovely addition to any jewellery collection or cameo collector.
