This stunningly beautiful vintage shell cameo is set into 14 carat white gold and is an exceptional jewellery piece. The cameo itself is so intricately carved, making full use of the natural layers of the shell. The highly skilled carver has created a spectacularly well carved portrait in a figurative style. The lady is a warm light peach colour with some stronger coloured accents against the carnelian tones of the background shell. The pretty lady gazes off to her right and the fine carving of her hair and the beautiful flowers just add to the appeal. The lady is wearing a gorgeous diamond 'Habille' necklace, this adds great contrast to the piece. Around the setting is a fine woven, filigree design with a repeating chevron pattern, framing the portrait perfectly. The cameo pendant / brooch is stamped with 14k to the tip of the brooch fitting.
