Vintage 1978 english hallmarked Opal & Ruby 9ct Yellow Gold cluster ring. 3 x claw set opals surrounded by 12 x claw set rubies, on a split underrail. Mounted on a tapering half round band with upswept shoulders and a split underrail. Measures 5.7mm - 2.2mm. Finger size O. Total weight 3.32g.

Opals 3 x oval cabochon's, white body tone, subdued to bright colour flashes in the full spectrum of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet, mixed pattern, good cut, Semi translucent.

Rubies 12 x round mixed cut measuring 2.8mm to 3.0mm. Colour medium purplish red, bright, moderately included, fair makes.
