Possibly Unique / Super Rare 1856 NSW General Election Tea Tax Rhymes Pamphlet.
Museum Quality / Super rare & possibly the only copy in existence. Was unable to find any reference in any government or institution Libraries, Archives, Collections. The Tea Tax Rhymes were originally published in the Empire Newspaper, Sydney in 1855. In 1856 NSW had a General Election. The rhymes were reproduced on the pamphlet to alert voters to the fact that several members of Parliament were in favour of doubling the tariff / tax on Tea & Sugar. Foxed & stained with small tears, creasing & fold marks. When unfolded it measures 45.5cms x 35cms.
