On offer is a large English bookplate engraving by William Hogarth from the Industry & Idleness series, taken off the original 1700s plates. This was the last series produced from the original plates in 1822 by Heath. Paper size is 36cms x 28cms, image size just slightly less. Recently professionally restored with some traces of minor foxing. The rear is blank.

The engraving is entitled   The IDLE ‘PRENTICE at Play in the Church Yard during Divine Service.   It is Plate 3 in the series.
