On offer is a large English bookplate engraving by William Hogarth from the Industry & Idleness series, taken / printed off the original 1700s plates. This was the last series produced from the original plates in 1822 by Heath. Paper size is 36cms x 28cms, image size just slightly less. Recently professionally restored with some traces of minor foxing. The rear is blank.

The engraving is entitled   The INDUSTRIOUS ‘PRENTICE a Favourite and entrufted by his Mafter   It is Plate 4 in the series.
