RARE 1894 Colonial British New Guinea Large Map of Collingwood Bay & Cape Nelson



Super rare, unable to find another for sale or in any archives. 100% genuine & not reproduction. A Running Survey map by Commander M A Jones of the S.S. "Merrie England" dated 1894. Printed at the Gov. Engraving & Lithographic Office, Brisbane, QLD. The map depicts British New Guinea, North East Coast, Collingwood Bay & Cape Nelson Large folding map hinged to acid free white board. Looks far better than the photos depict. Measures 50cms x 39cms. Some minor tears along the fold lines & to the edges, some small losses along the fold lines, some minor foxing. Will be posted flat to avoid damage.
