Rare Antique Chinese Export 20k Gold Apple Jade Brooch By Wang Hing

Antique 20th Century extremely rare 20 Carat Gold and apple green jade brooch, formed as a series of 3 circular panels, alternating a gold medallion cast with a Chinese character to a panel mounted with a circular apple green jade plaque centered by a gold medallion also depicting a Chinese charaters.

The back is Hallmarked Chinese Export Gold (20 carat gold), letters WH for Wang Hing, the most renowned luxury retailer, mostly famous for the silverware. Wang Hing produced gold jewellery between 1910 and 1939 for its store located at 10 Queens Road in Hing Kong.

Condition: Two of the jade panels have hairline cracks consistant with age.

Total weight 7.95g and measures 50mm x 17mm wide.
