Exceeding difficult to obtain in Australia !!! PIETRO PAOLETTI (1801-1847). Didactic souvenir of the Grand Tour. 2 books with plaster casts. Collection of "Grand Tour" plaster medallions housed in two volumes of fake book boxes. Each volume includes two compartments with a variety of plaster casts of cameos, sculptures and engraved monuments. With catalogue of contents hand inscribed on the inside of the front and back covers. 58 casts in total, the volumes are incomplete with some missing, there also quite a few detached. Each volume measures 25.5cms x 16.5cms x 4.2cms when closed. Some casts are slightly soiled with age.
