Sterling Silver 1935 Medallion Presented by The Cadogan Riding School 77.7g
Beautifully made solid sterling silver two and a half troy ounce medallion without any engraving to rear. The medallion was made by Birmingham silversmiths, Herbert Bushell & Son Ltd and is stamped with their makers stamp HB&S, the Birmingham Anchor stamp, the letter L for the year 1935. The medallion was created for the Cadogan Riding School to present to members in 1935. The Cadogan Riding school was a major riding school with links to Royalty. Horace Smith, the Maidenhead Hunting Stable Branch owner taught both the Queen and Princess Margaret to ride. The school taught beginners, right through to advanced riders. This particular blank medallion, although missing the original case, is still in great condition.
