Stunning 1930s Vintage Sterling Silver Coin/note Purse & Mirrored Compact 79.3g

This beautiful Art Deco style coin and note purse with tiny mirrored compact is such a clever design. The slimline case is almost coffin shaped and opens with a thumb clip clasp to reveal the inside section. Inside are two coin holders similar to the British sovereign case patent and a decorative note clip holder. The recessed mirror lifts up to reveal a powder puff for applying powder. No powder remain but the ingenuity of the design does not go unnoticed.

With a fine engine turned pattern all over the design, the result is clean and precise. The delightful purse is finished with a flat mesh style sterling silver woven strap.Monogrammed LMB to one side with blank cartouche to the other side. Stamped with Sterling Silver.
