Stunning Hardy Bros Faux Tortoiseshell & Sterling Lead Crystal Vanity Jar 1924

Beautiful sterling silver and faux tortoiseshell lidded lead crystal vanity jar by esteemed jewellery and silverware company Hardy Brothers. The decorative jar has a classic lead crystal design etched into the glass and is good condition for its age. The lid has been gracefully inlaid with silver piqué work in a circular floral design around the outside edge of the faux tortoiseshell. The rim of the sterling silver is stamped with the makers mark of Hardy Bros LTD, made in England. Other stamps are the anchor for Birmingham Assay office, lion rampant quality mark and the date letter Z for the year 1924. A very sophisticated precious item soon to be an antique and become even more collectable.
