Description

The original art work was done by the well respected listed artist Chas. Pears (1873 - 1958), who is regarded as one of the leading marine artist of the 20th century. It would have been produced as a promotional poster for companies & offices. Based on the tonnage of the ship, it was the Orcades launched in the 1940s. The image size is quite large, 60cms x 39cms. One of the great things about this piece is the original matting / border. The matted size 72cms x 51 cms. Overall in very nice condition. Would look great framed in an office or study. Xmas present ??
