Super rare to get a complete set of 3, usually they are sold individually. The 3 maps were published in c1863 by the UK based company Weekly Dispatch, Fleet St, London. The three were produced as a result of British interest in the American Civil War. Each map measures approx 34.5cms x 47.5cms, with the rears being blank. The maps are entitled … SEAT of WAR in VIRGINIA and MARYLAND … SEAT of WAR in VIRGINIA &c SHEET 2 … SEAT of WAR in VIRGINA SHEET 3.
The maps are slightly tatty around the edges, with some losses & tears, some foxing, stains & marks. They look far better than the photo’s depict. All 3 have been lightly hinged to cardboard backing and will be posted flat.
