Victorian Painted Miniature Portrait Porcelain Twisted Brass Wire framed Brooch

This beautiful miniature handprinted porcelain brooch features a portrait of a young woman, gazing outwards. The romantic depiction and skilful accomplishment of the painting technique gives a realism to the portrait. The portrait is carefully set into a twisted brass frame with a closed in back and early 1900's C clasp fitting. The fitting is working fine though it wobbles a little. Over the years the brass has taken on a darker patina and this could be polished back to a polished gold colour, depending on the new owners preference. A stunning piece to collect.
