Victorian W&H Co. Gold Filled Photo Locket & Sparkling Paste Horseshoe Design 7.7g

This delightful square shaped gold filled, photo locket features a pretty horseshoe design to the front picked out in sparkling paste. This early 1900's photo locket has space for two tiny photos and would have been kept in a ladies purse. Stamped inside with makers stamp W&H Co. Pat. Aug 2 04. Despite the age of the piece it presents remarkably well with a little patina and light scratches. It has such a beautiful warm almost rose gold like colour. It is a beautiful petite piece. The opening is a little difficult due to its small size but it does snap closed securely. A wonderful addition to any Victorian jewellery collection.
