Vintage Aztec Mayan Calendar Sterling Silver Inlaid Pāua Brooch / Pendant 19g

This fantastic, stylised sterling silver medallion pendant / brooch depicts the Aztec or Mayan calendar used in ancient Mesoamerican times. The pendant brooch combination is a good size and will definitely make a statement. The actual calendar design and pattern around the calendar centrepiece is more freestyle and more stylised with the inlaid pāua shell really adding to its appeal. It is a great piece that is sure to delight the new owner. The pendant is not stamped as sterling silver but laser tests as Sterling. The overall condition of this piece is excellent, though the brooch pin setting is a little stiff. The pendant / brooch combination has been cleaned and lightly polished ready to wear.
