Description
Vintage Forstner Art Nouveau Style Goldplate Sterling Silver Flexible Bangle 19.7g
This beautiful bangle made by American company Forstner, founded in 1922 in Irvington, New Jersey is a fabulous example of their work. The gold plated sterling silver bangle features a flowing art nouveau style design and coils around snake like around the wrist. There is great flexibility in the bangle allowing for ease of fitting to the wrist. The company logo used block lettering prior to 1937 when the logo changed to script. The stamp on this bangle is their block letter logo so the bangle was made before 1937. It is also stamped with Sterling.
Despite its age, the bangle is in great condition with just a small amount of loss and light scratches commensurate with age. A perfect vintage treasure to adorn your wrist as it looks stunning on. All manufacturing ended in 1980 so Forstner pieces are a great brand to collect as overtime they will just become more rare.
