Vintage Jorgen Jensen Pewter #211 Curb Chain Neck Collar Circumference 38 cm

This very stylish, modernistic, hand forged neck chain collar is made by Danish designer Jorgen Jensen. The choker style necklace is made in oxidised pewter and features a bold curb chain design. The chain section is secured each side with smooth sturdy rings and the necklace is made in three sections with jump rings and a simple bolt clasp closure. Each section is curved to allow for the curve of the neck and provide optimum comfort. This solidly formed piece was created in the 1960's, it represents a a strong influence of Danish Design aesthetics. Signed to the rear Jorgen Jensen, Denmark, 211. This stunning piece has been hand cleaned and presents well in original condition with signs of use commensurate with age. You can see the slight scratches and dents to the edges of the necklace in the photos, nothing to distract from the beauty of the piece as a whole though.

Jorgen Jensen is the son of esteemed jeweller and silversmith Georg Jensen. Jorgen favoured the use of pewter for his inspiring jewellery collections, though he trained formally in the production of silver and hollowware.
