Vintage Peruvian Hand Carved Gourd Lama & Shepard Scene 12cm Diam

This is a unique and beautifully carved handcrafted object. The gourd is vintage and dates to around the 1950s. Depicted around the gourd are farmers and lamas with flowers and leaves. The surface of the gourd has been blackened with charcoal in areas to provide contrast. Unfortunately, over time the gourd has cracked in a couple of areas. It is still very stable however, without a lid. It would be a great display item and could even have a little tea light candle placed inside as a night light.
