Please note the poster is sealed behind protective plastic film, hence the reflections in the photo’s. It looks far better than the photos depict. Comes with excellent providence, handwritten note explaining its history. Acclaimed New Zealand artist Carl Wessman did the the original art work for the poster in 1940. This poster printed by Coulls Somerville Wilkie Ltd, Dunedin, New Zealand was reproduced in c1944 / 1945 and signed and dated by Wessman in 1945. It was dedicated to Bill Rutherford, both Wessman & Rutherford served together in the Royal New Zealand Air Force during WW2. Large in size the poster measures 37cms x 49cms. It has been lightly hinged to acid free white backing & in turn attached to heavy duty artist cardboard. The poster has crease & fold marks with some very minor foxing & marks. SUPER RARE !!!
